Authorship Criteria
The International Journal of Health Studies (Undergoing change to Shahroud Journal of Medical Sciences) (IJHS (Undergoing change to SJMS)) adheres to strict authorship criteria to ensure ethical publishing practices. It is essential that all listed authors meet the following criteria:
Criteria for Authorship
- Meet Authorship Qualifications
- All individuals listed as authors must fulfill the journal's criteria for authorship. This typically includes significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research.
- Reporting Contributions
- The contributions of each author must be clearly reported. This transparency is vital for accountability and recognition of each author's role in the research.
- Public Responsibility
- All authors are expected to take public responsibility for the content of the manuscript submitted to IJHS. This includes ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the reported research.
Author Listing and Communication
- Submission of Contributors Form
- All authors should be included in the Contributors submission form before the peer review process begins.
- Updating Authorship
- If any changes to authorship occur during the peer review or revision process, the author fields in the Contributors submission form must be updated accordingly.
- Confirmation of Authorship
- Each author will be contacted via email to confirm their awareness of, and approval for, the submission of the manuscript, its content, and the authorship.
- Co-author Assent
- IJHS requires that all co-authors provide confirmation of their assent to publication via email. It is the responsibility of the corresponding author to ensure this confirmation is obtained.
